Portage Hill Gallery

The Portage Hill Gallery features three rooms of a historic Chautauqua County Greek Revival house filled with top-quality juried art created by regionally and nationally known artists in all media, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, glass, jewelry, wooden work, and photography. In addition to our fine collection of the work of 100 artists, Portage Hill Gallery is the home of both a clay studio and 2D studio of Audrey Kay Dowling. Audrey’s one of a kind award winning clay, painting and mixed media block print work have been accepted into regional, national and international shows and are represented in private collections throughout the world.  In addition to the one of a kind work, Audrey features her functional clay work at the gallery.  This includes many copyrighted original vase forms and ceramic pots for cooking and serving. These pieces are glazed with Audrey’s own glaze formulas she calls Great Lakes Colors and is based on the natural colors she so enjoys at their Lake Erie summer cottage.
